Kati's May 1st Thought

Hi

Have you ever been put on the spot because you missed school for the Holy Days? I have, and I use to be really uncomfortable with it. But it is good to be asked about God and the Holy Days. When you are asked, it means that you are being a light* and getting people's attention. It means that you must be ready with an answer**. Pay attention during sermons and read your Bible at least once a week. I know that it can be hard to find time, or remember to make time, to read your Bible. I have trouble doing this too. But if you are a bright light, then your example may help bring others to study up and perhaps to even become a Christian. Study your Bible and pray for guidance so that the next time a friend asks about why you are gone so much you will be ready with an answer.

**1 Peter 3:15, "...and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear."
