From the West Meadow
By Pastor Wesley Higgins

A lawyer asked Christ what is the greatest command? Jeses replied, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind". This is the first and great command.

What did Christ mean, is this just a nicey-nice saying, some nebulous, all encompassing idea that sounds nice, but lets get on with the real world type thing? As Christians, Christ is the real world. Jesus told us to seek first His Kingdom, the Kingdom of God. As Christians, we must put every thought, our total being, our heart, soul and mimd into our relationship with God.

God is so desirous to have a relationship with us, that He came to earth in the form of man to Tabernacle with us, to spend time with us to share life with us. How considerate are we of the time we have with Him. Our personal time, prayer, study, fasting and meditation. We have often thought of these as tools. But they are more than tools, they are our time with God, our personal relationship with Him.

Besides personal time, God has given us corporate time through fellowship with the brethren on the Sabbath and during God's Feasts. Holy time to worship and fellowship with Christ and one another.

I want to encourage all of you to redeem the time, use it!
